Yes plants are called living organisms even though they cannot move from one place to another because the defining property of life is not the movement it's the metabolism which can be seen in the plant also growth that is the increase in height of the plant is observed and also they prepare their own food which is not a feature of a non living organism.

Answer:

The fact that plants' roots anchor them to the ground and give them support so they don't topple over is one of the key reasons they typically do not transfer from one area to another. Plants can obtain water and nutrients from the soil through their roots.

Explanation:

The fact that plants' roots anchor them to the ground and give them support so they don't topple over is one of the key reasons they typically do not transfer from one area to another. Plants can obtain water and nutrients from the soil through their roots. Some roots, like those in trees, can be exceedingly thick or thin. Their distribution and how deep into the earth they grow is determined by the area's water availability and the soil's characteristics (the longest roots would be in a desert, and the shortest in a tundra).

Once they start to grow, plants often do not move by themselves, yet they are continually in motion. How? because the wind or insects can carry their seeds and pollen from one area to another. Therefore, if pollen or seeds are dispersed to another region, a plant that is growing in one place may be moved elsewhere and grow there. a single plant.
