Are saprophytes and saprotrophs same ? If not then what is the difference in them ?

Saprophyte is obsolete for the simple fact that saprophyte is a nomenclature used for plants: "a plant that lives on dead organic matter". It is an ancient heritage of when fungi were considered plants. Saprotroph is the correct term.
