Answer:

inface they have less significant life other than social networking which was vice versa few years before. So stalking people online does make sense now. ... these are stalking only but in pretext of connecting, making bonds or friends which I take as sophisticated means of stalking people.

Answer: I support the second part of the statement. The term ‘Social-Networking’ is now almost synonymous with ‘Cyberstalking’. I know most people would disagree because they talk to their friends using these sites and they’re happy, but you know, that’s not everyone does. Let me take an example of Facebook. Most people find their friends, add them to their friend-list and later, instead of talking, they just get updates on what they are doing (Yes, the news feed). I don’t think that is any part of being social. And that is not exactly stalking, but now let's get on stalking, okay? So, you have a crush. The first thing anyone would do will be to find out more about the person. What better way is there to visit a place where she has put up all information on what he/she eats, listens to, watches, where he/she goes to, and also if he/she is attached or not. Bingo! all you wanted, in one place, no effort put and at the comfort of your bed. You stalk. You all stalk. ‘We’ all stalk. It's not very unusual. We even do it unconsciously. Just check the profile of a friend’s friend. Is it stalking? Yes, it is. Did you think its stalking? No.

Everyone does it and everyone allows them to do it. Social networking sites always provide an option to make the data viewable to just friends or not even them. I’m sure most people wouldn’t even know this. Why? ’Cause you never tried to find out. You upload pictures, and you’re okay with people seeing them. But what if it's not you posting it? What if there is a picture you are uncomfortable with to be shared with anyone, but someone gets a hold of it and shares it? Not everyone is well-wishers, right? We always know these things. Consciously or unconsciously. But we never really consider these. It only gets attention if it happens.

Well, the whole point of this long text was that we should use social media with care and know who is on our side. Thank you.
