It is true that sparrows are facing extinction not only in India but globally. This phenomenon is global and is due too many reasons.
The most outstanding being the fact that sparrows are losing their habitat among human populations due to the new sparrow-unfriendly construction techniques. Other reasons include diminished food supply among the human populations due to increased used of pesticides that have eliminated insects from our households and the environs, and the change in human activities-its not easy for them to find pieces of food lying around as they used to in the old communities.
Research also shows that effect of microwave radiation has an effect on the sparrows' population world over.
