Answer :
A speaker tag is the easiest way to indicate which speaker is speaking in a conversation in a literary piece. Its simplest form consists of the speaker's name followed by a speech-related verb like said, asked etc. Though required in most cases, speaker tags can be ignored in the following two occasions :
1. When a conversation is going on between two people and the two concerned people are alternating between one another.
2. In stories, plays and novels relating to mystery, suspense and thriller genre.
Here, the speaker tags are avoided to generate an element of suspense.
