No.....they both have their own advantages.
Vegetative propagation-
1. It is cheaper, easier and more rapid method of propagation in plants than growing plants from their seeds.
2. Plants that are seedless grow by this method.
3. The character of the parent plant is preserved.
4. The plants generated from vegetative means requires less time to grow.
5. They are uniform and genetically similar to the parent stock.
6. In propagation by this method, the plants skip the risky seedling stage in which a number of plants die under adverse conditions.
Artificial means are very expensive.
