Answer: Elections are too expensive for our country because huge amounts are spent on the electoral campaigns every year.  

Short term wages and gits are given to the party members to win the election and that cost heavy amounts.  

Huge manpower along with government officials and defense personals are recruited for election duties.  

There is no taxation system implemented on the election process which is considered as the black money in the open market.
