Answer:

No, both numbers are not in proportion.

Step-by-step explanation:

If we are given with four numbers a, b, c, d

To check whether these numbers are in proportion ;

Product of means must be equal to Product of extremes i.e.;

                  a * d = b * c

(i) 14, 6, 5, 9

To check these numbers are in proportion;

      14 * 9 = 126             and    6 * 5 = 30

As 126 \neq 30, therefore these numbers are not in proportion.

(ii) 32, 26, 15, 25

To check these numbers are in proportion;

      32 * 25 = 800             and    26 * 15 = 390

As 800 \neq 390, therefore these numbers are also not in proportion.

If we are given with four numbers p, q, r, s

To check whether these numbers are in proportion

Product of means must be equal to Product of extremes for example .;

p × r = q × s

(i) 14, 6, 5, 9

Now we have to check these numbers are in proportion or not ?

→14 × 9 = 126

→6 × 5 = 30

Hence 126 ≠ 30, So, these numbers are not in proportion. Because these are not equal to eachother

(ii) 32, 26, 15, 25

Now, we have to check these numbers are in proportion or not ?

→ 32 × 25 = 800

→ 26 × 15 = 390

Hence , 800 ≠ 390, So , these numbers are also not in proportion. Because these are not equal to eachother
