Two angles are said to be complementary, when they add up to 90°.

Now, (x+36)°+(44-x)° = x°+36°+44°-x° = 80°

It is noticed that they dont add up to 90°.

Thus, they arent complementary.

As we know,

sum of Complementary angle is =90

then,

=>(x+36)⁰+(44-x)⁰

=>x+36+44-x

=> 80⁰

Since,sum of this two pair of angle is not equal to 90

Hence it's not a pair of Complementary angle.
