Are the mammary glands modified sweat glands?

These exocrine glands are enlarged and modified sweat glands and are the characteristic of mammals which gave the class its name. The basic components of the mammary gland are the alveoli (hollow cavities, a few millimetres large) lined with milk-secreting cuboidal cells and surrounded by myoepithelial cells.

yes dear MAMMARY glands are the modified sweat glands.
Mammary glands, are located in the breast overlying the pectoralis major muscles, these are present in both sexes, but usually are functional only in the female. Mammary gland function is regulated by hormones.
these are found in animals as well as humans in both sexes but specially more active in femals.
