Are the molar volume of co2 and so2 different? Support your answer.

The molar gas volume at Stp is same for all gases.

Therefore the molar gas volume for SO2 and CO2 are same.

The difference comes when we are given a certain mass of both SO2 and CO2.

If we have same mass of the two then most likely will have different moles for the two.

This is because of the difference in the molar masses of the two gases.

For instance :

Molar mass of SO2 = 64

Molar mass of CO2 = 44

We see that the molar masses are different.

Therefore, for a given mass CO2 will have more moles than SO2.
