Well, ordinary hydrogen have the strong covalent bonds in it Which is difficult to break so they are well stable. Hence the reaction of these molecular hydrogen will be slow normally. But this all depends on temperature you are giving in the reaction at high temperature hydrogen reacts rapidly also.
