heya mate...

x-3y =7 ------1)

2x-6y=16

divided by 2 both sides,

x-3y=8 -------2)

from both equations,, we conclude that cofficient of x and y in both equations are equal...... there are different constants..

so we said that these equations are parallel...

because it is the parallel condition

  • if the cofficients of x and y in two equations, are equal and there are only different between in their constants then these lines should be parallel...
