The consequences faced by Matilda by her mother and the headmistress break the moral boundaries of a mother and a school teacher.

Explanation:

Most of the adults in the story are cruel to the children throughout the novel. It clearly describes how Matilda was ignored by her parents and her extra ordinary abilities are left unnoticed. It also describes about teachers being cruel to students and bullies them.

Later, it was describes how Matilda perceives the power of psychokinesis, the ability to move things with her mind as the result of the anger she feels towards her parents who ignored and belittered her. It conveys how a teacher and a mom should not be.
