HEY THERE!!

I don't want to be the BRAINLIEST......

Always remember, that the aim of brainly users is not to get brainliest answers and get respectable ranks; our aim is to provide well explained answers so that we can help each other to solve problems.

Remember the sentence:
"One does not know everything, but everyone knows something".

Now to answer your question:

CH₃COONa is called as Sodium acetate or its IUPAC name is Sodium ethanoate. It is a water soluble salt which is mainly used to prepare marsh gas or methane (CH₄) in laboratory by DECARBOXYLATION

Sodium acetate is a strong electrolyte which can readily furnish sodium and acetate ions.

It can be prepared by treating sodium hydroxide with acetic acid.

Reaction:
CH₃COOH + NaOH --------> CH₃COONa + H₂O
<Neutralization Reaction>

HOPE MY ANSWER IS SATISFACTORY...
