URL and Web page address are not the same thing.
URL means Uniform Resource Locator. It is an address. URL exists for web pages, images , objects, resources available on internet, documents etc.
URL has a protocol at the beginning and then the domain name. After that there is a path name within that domain. Further parameters to that web page are given with the URL.
