☛ The vacuoles (Latin, vacuus = empty) are non-living inclusions of cytoplasm. Some of these are found in the form of minute droplets in the cytoplasm of meristematic cells. Each droplet is a small vacuole filled up with cell-sap. These small vacuoles enlarge and finally coalesce to give rise to a large vacuole.
