Certainly it is good for children to play--in fact, kids are not getting enough free play today, leading to high rates of ADHD and diminished social capacities. Kids learn many things through play, especially friendly rough-and-tumble play which helps the brain develop in multiple ways including building social competence.

Some people argue that activities like videogame play that on face value seem to be bad for you are really good for you. Steven Johnson points out how much more complex popular culture is today than in the past, including the complexity of videogames (compare PacMan with Simsgames). He argues that the increased complexity promotes intelligence. For example, when you play a videogame, it is often a frustrating learning experience that requires you to repeatedly problem solve to learn the game. In fact, James Paul Geesuggests that you even learn "the scientific method" through the necessary trial and error of figuring out how to meet goals in the game.

Many negative physical consequences is the foremost drawback of violent video games. Children spend most of their time in playing violent video games and they are unable to take their meals on time and at the end they faced malnutrition and other physical diseases. The second reason the mental disturbance in children. Also, the content of the video game plays important role in the development of child’s mind if the content is good it will help the child to learn new skills and if the content is not good it will leads to negative mental problems because both can affect the child brain to much extent. The other reason is that the violent video games cause psychosocial problems. Lastly, when child plays these violent video games, interaction with family is reduced which makes child psychosocially isolated.

Some parents argue that these video games have positive impact on their children’s life and makes them more skilled. Others argue that children become independent and confident make them busy and parents also do their work peacefully. Lastly people think that in this modern and technological age it’s very important to make their child aware about the technology and video games are the best way to introduced and make their child familiar to the technology.

In conclusion, it is the fact that violent video games are harmful for children. It is important to aware parents and children about the negative consequences of violent video games and parents should check the content of the video game to prevent child from different negative effects, and the amount of time children spend on playing video games should be restricted. Thirdly it is very essential to introduce the technology to the children at the appropriate age and with appropriate way, so it will not harm them. Hence, it is the time to take action and stop the negative consequences of violent video games which are physical, mental and psychosocial.
