No they are not effective. It also depends if the child is taking the classes seriously or not. In virtual classes there are many disadvantages like-
1) Children can cheat very well without leaving a trace behind for teachers to even know what they are doing.
2) There are a lot of connectivity issues. Sometimes classes don't even occur just because the teacher couldn't show up (connectivity issues).
3) The biggest disadvantage is that children can switch off their cameras and do whatever they feel like and teachers won't know.
Therefore,
Traditional classes have more emphasis on children than the virtual classes. And let's not forget, our school is the best place for our education and spending time with friends. But also due to the pandemic, the schools should at least remain closed till December.

Are online classes as effective as offline classes?
Nowadays in this time of covid pandemic we people are suffering alot. And at the top, children, the future of our country is suffering.
As per me, online classes aren't that effective as compared to traditional on campus schooling because when teachers and student interact in offline classes that turn out to be more effective. Offline classes are more interactive than that of the online classes because in online classes there are many problems such as network connection issues, some children can't afford phones and internet. But in offline classes there is no such problem.
But as we all know, if online classes wouldn't have been there then the progress, might be slow, but would have surely stopped. So, to have something is better than to have nothing.
