yes.

Explanation:

in a coalition government turn on different parties state their claims to form the government.

it has been seen in past years that if the the state government is different than the central government then the central government misuse is power and try to dismiss the central government

but in coalition governments almost the leaders of all parties are present and therefore they prevent the majority to misuse the government power.

in this way they help in proper functioning of democracy.

but there is a disadvantage of coalition government too. in coalition government the decisions are delayed.

also they criticize The Good Works of parties.

No. I'm not in favour of coalition government due to the following reasons:

  • Coalition government is a form of government containing members of more than one political parties and all those political parties co-operate to form a government.
  • Coalition government is formed when no party has absolute majority. Hence, the parties dissent with the coalition government.
  • The coalition government has a body of advisors in the parliament.
  • Though there is unity in diversity in India, there would be different ideas and opinions prevailing among different parties which makes the coalition government weak and unstable.
  • There is a higher chance of collapse of government and the power of the Prime Minister is reduced.
  • It pays way for the parties without much strength and potential and some regional parties to make more demands that leads to much confusion.
  • The Minister have to take in both the parties opinions. At such times, they pressurize the leagal body to make decisions in favour of them.
  • Most of the time, proper coordination is tough to build between parties and no one comes forward to take responsibilities.
  • Hence, I don't favour coalition government.
