Are your wisdom teeth really useful for chewing the food

you already have 8 points of chewing contact b/w your 1st molars and 2nd molars,1st premolars and 2nd pre molars. the wisdom teeth add every little to chewing assuming that they have erupted fully into the mouth .
I dont think that many people use their wisdom teeth to chew food .
