Are zoos neccesary for the protection or conservation of some species of animals are they useful for educating the public are the alternatives to zoos

Answer: when ever we visit a zoo we never thought of animals living there or how they feel but we only enjoy. No, I don't think that zoos are necessary for the protection or conservation. They are lookup in cage and they need a better and open surrounding to there growth. Some animal may even die. They might be useful for educating us but we also cannot live in cage or a closed room for several days so how can these can live. During this lockdown we were not able to live inside and small children wanted to go so how can there cubs and babies live in cage.
