35y² + 28y - 15y - 12
7y[5y + 4]-3[5y + 4]
(7y - 3)(5y + 4)
then from here y = +3/7 or y = -4/5
as we know aera cannot be -ve so y = +3/7 is value
which = 0.428
- we have to do factorisaton of given number
- we do factorisaton by middle term splitting
- ie we splite mid term into factors of products of let and first number
- after factorise we get two values of y but one is -ve and area can't be -ve so we take +ve value
you could solve this by using quadratic formula which is
