So ,

2 \pi r =  \pi {r}^{2}  \\  \\  {r}^{2} = 2r \\  \\  {r}^{2} - 2  r = 0 \\  \\ r(r - 2) = 0 \\  \\ r = 2 \:  \:  \:  \: or \:  \:  \:  \: r = 0

As r is the radius of the circle so are can't be equals to zero .

So,

r = 2 units
