Step-by-step explanation:

The perimeter of cube is the sum of all the edges the cube has. If the cube has each side as 10 cm, then the perimeter = 10*12 = 120 cm as there are 12 edges each of 10 cm. Its volume = 10^3 = 1000 cc.

Suppose there is a cuboid of sides 8 cm, 10 cm, and 12 cm. There will be 4 edges of 8 cm, 4 edges of 10 cm and 4 edges of 12 cm. So the perimeter of the cuboid = 4*8 + 4*10 + 4*12 = 32 +40 + 48 = 120 cm. Its volume = 8*10*12 = 960 cc.

A cuboid which length, breadth and height are equal to each other, is called cube.

Perimeter of cuboid = 4(l+b+h)

Perimeter of cube = 12 a, where a is edge of cube.

Area of cube 6a^2

area of cuboid 2( lb + hb + lh )
