GIVEN :-

  • Base area of cylinder = 16π cm²
  • Curved surface area of cylinder = 32π cm²

TO FIND :-

  • Volume of cylinder

SOLUTION :-

  • Formula to find the base area of cylinder = \sf\pi r^2

               \longrightarrow \sf \pi r^2 = 16\pi\\\\\longrightarrow r^2=16\\\\\longrightarrow r=\sqrt{16} \\\\\longrightarrow \bf r = 4

Radius of the cylinder = 4 cm

  •  Formula to find the curved surface area of the cylinder = \sf 2\pi r h

               \longrightarrow \sf 2\pi \times 4\times h = 32 \pi \\\\\longrightarrow 8h = 32\\\\\longrightarrow h = 32\div 8 \\\\\longrightarrow \bf h = 4

Height of the cylinder = 4 cm

   →   Formula to find the volume of cylinder \sf = \pi r ^2h

          Volume of cylinder   =\sf \pi \times4 \times 4\times 4

                                             \sf = 64\pi \ cm^3
