Area of circle= πr²
100π = πr²
100 = r²
√100 = r
-10 Or 10 = r
Taking +ve, r = 10
Radius of the circle = 10 cm
Then,
By Pythagoras theorem,
(radius)² = (distance b/w center and chord)² + (chord)²
10² = (distance from center to tangent)² + (6)²
100 - 36 = (distance from center to tangent)²
64 = (distance from center to tangent)²
8 =(distance from center to tangent)
