Given :

  • Area of parallelogram = 83.2 cm².
  • Height of parallelogram = 6.4 cm.

To Find :

  • The base of parallelogram.

Solution :

Let the base be “b” cm.

We know that if we are given the area of parallelogram and its height and is asked to find the base of the parallelogram then our required formula is,

Area of parallelogram = Height × Base

where,

  • Area = 83.2 cm²
  • Height = 6.4 cm
  • Base = b cm

Substituting the values,

⇒ 83.2 = 6.4 × b

⇒ 83.2/6.4 = b

⇒ 13 = b

pBase = 13 cm.

Base of the parallelogram is 13 m.

Verification :

LHS :

83.2

RHS :

⇒ 6.4 × 13

⇒ 83.2

LHS = RHS.

  • Hence verified.

Given :

Area of parralegram = 83.2 cm²

Height of parralegram = 6.4cm

To find :

Length of the base

Solution :

As in the question Area of parralegram is given 83.2 cm² and Height is also given 6.4 cm. So By the formula of Area of Parralegram = Base × Height. we can easily Get the length of the base of the parralegram.

  • Let Base = B

  • Height = 6.4cm

Area of parralegram = Base × Height

→ 83.2 = B × 6.4

→ B = 83.2/6.4

→ B = 13cm.

Verification :

→ 83.2 = 6.4 × 13

→ 83.2 = 83.2

L.H.S = R.H.S

Base of parralegram is 13 cm
