 \large\bf\underline {To \: find:-}

  • we need to find the length of other diagonal.

 \huge\bf\underline{Solution:-}

 \bf\underline{\red{Given:-}}

  • Area of rhombus = 100 cm²
  • Length of one diagonal = 8cm

we know that,

 \red{  \rm \: Area \: of \: rhombus = \frac{1}{2} \times d_ 1 \times  d_ 1  }

 \rm \rightarrow \: Area \: of \: rhombus = \frac{1}{2} \times d_ 1 \times  d_ 2

\rm \longrightarrow \: \frac{1}{2}  \times 8 \times  d_2 = 100

\rm \longrightarrow \: \frac{1}{ \cancel2}  \times  \cancel{8 }\times  d_2 = 100

\rm \longrightarrow \: 4d_2  = 100

\rm \longrightarrow \: d_2 =   \cancel\dfrac{100}{4}

\rm \longrightarrow \: d_2  = 25

Hence,

  • Length of other diagonal is 25cm

Some information:-

➝ Area of rhombus = b × h

➝ Area of rhombus = ½ × d1 × d2

➝ Perimeter of rhombus = 4 × side

  • Sides of rhombus are equal.

  • Diagonals of rhombus are unequal and bisect each other at 90°.
