Let length of the base be x

Then height is 7+x

area=165cm=b*h

= x(7+x)=165

=7x+x^2=165

Using quadratic formula find x that is base and height

Let the base of the given triangle be x Then the height will be x +7

Formula to find the area of the triangle is 1/2 ×base ×height

Put the values in the formula

Hope you like my answer.

1/2 × x × (x+7) = 165

(x² +7x)/2 = 165

x²+7x =  330

x² + 7x - 330 =0

x² + 22x - 15x - 330 = 0

x(x+22)-15(x+22)= 0

(x-15)(x-22)=0

x = 15 or x =22

You can take the base as 15 as well as 22. You can take any value as base and height.
