Area of a square field is 35721meter sqare .A man is walking along its boundary at a speed of 12 km/ hr .In how much time will he complete four rounds along the boundary?

35721=35.721km
s=d/t
t=d/s
t=2.97hr

Apprajita: No the correct answer will be 15.12 But i dont know the method how to solve

Area of square = side² = 35721m²
                        ⇒ side = √35721 = 189m
Perimeter of square = 4*side = 4*189 = 756m (total distance for one complete round)
speed = 12 km/hr     ⇒12×5/18 m/sec = 3.33 m/sec
speed = distance / time
⇒time = dist/speed ⇒⇒ 756/3.33 = 227 seconds → for one complete round
∴ time required for completing 4 rounds = 4* 227 = 908 secs...
that is 908/60 = 15.12 mins

niyamee: yes.. u will get 15.12.... instead of 3m/sec take 3.33... i rounded it off.. and then convert secs into minutes ... u will get 15.12.... try it.... im unable to edit this.. thts y srry... try taking 3.33
