the area of garden = 2500 m^2

area of square = s×s

2500 = s×s

s =root of 2500

s = 50 metres

1 metre path is added around it

s = 51 metre

path area= big square area -

small square area

= (51×51)-(50×50)m^2

= 2601 - 2500 m^2

= 101 m^2

Therefore

Path area = 101 m^2
