Area of trapezium =16 cm square and height of the trapezium = 4cm

As we know area of trapezium =1/2(sum of parallel sides)h

Or 1/2(5+x )4 = 16 {by putting the values}

Or 1/2(20+4x) = 16

Or (10+2x) = 16

Or 10+2x = 16

Or 2x = 16-10

Or 2x=6

Or x = 6/2

Therefore x =3cm
