area of a Trapezium is 2400 square metre and one of its parallel sides is 75m. if the distance between the parallel sides is 40 m. find the length of the other side

let the length of other side be x
area of trapezium=2400,
one parallel side is 75cm
distance between them is 40
so,h=40
Area of trapezium =1/2(sum of parallel sides)h
2400=1/2(75+x)40
2400/40=1/2(75+x)
60=1/2(75+x)
60×2=75+x
120=75+x
120-75=x
45=x
or,x=45
therefore,length of other side is 45cm
