Answer:

Area of trapezium= 248sq m

height of that trapezium= 8m

let the one parallel side of trapezium be x

other parallel side = x-4

according to question,

area of trapezium = 248 sq m

1/2 x sum of parallel side x height =248

1/2 x (x+x-4) x 8 =248

1/2 x (2x-4) x 8 = 248

4(2x-4) =248

2x-4= 248/4

2x-4 = 62

2x = 62 +4

2x = 66

x= 33

therefore,one parallel side =33m

other parallel side=33-4

=29m
