Given :-

Area of the trapezium = 480 cm²

Length of one parallel side = 20 cm

Distance between the parallel sides = 8 cm

To Find :-

Length of the other parallel side

Solution :-

→ As we know that ,

\underline{\bf{\dag} \:\mathfrak{Area\;of\;trapezium= sum\;of\;parallel\;sides \times distance\;between\;them}}

→ Let the length of other parallel side be y cm

→ Let's find out it's value by putting values in the formula !!

\sf \implies 480\;cm^{2} = ( 20\;cm+y) \times 8 \; cm

\sf \implies (20+y)=\dfrac{480}{8}

\sf \implies 20 + y = 60

\sf \implies y = (60 - 20)\;cm

\sf \implies y = 40\;cm

∴ The length of other parallel side is 40 cm
