by distance formula,

a= √(2+4)^2 + (8-3)^2

=√61

b = √(8-2)^2+(3-8)^2

=√61

c = √(8+4)^2+(3-3)^2

= 12

s= semi- perimeter = (a+b+c)/2= √61+ 6

By Heron's formula,

Area = √s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)

= √ [(√61+6) (√61+6-√61) (√61+6-√61) (√61+6-12)]

= 30
