Area of a wooden plank is 420 sq cm. How many tiles of an area 4cm x 3cm can be cut from the plank ?​

Given : Area of wooden plank is 420 sq cm.

To Find : How many tiles of an area 4cm multiple by 3cm can be cut from the plank ​

Solution:

Area of wooden plank is 420 sq cm.

=> Total area = 420 cm²

Tile area  = 4 x 3  =12  cm²

Number of tiles can be cut  = Total area  / Tile area

= 420/12

= 35

35 tiles can be cut
