Given :-

Length of the floor = 3 m

Breadth of the floor = 2 m

Length of the square tile = 100 cm

Cost of tiles per 100 tiles = Rs. 150

To Find :-

The cost of flooring.

Solution :-

We know that,

l = Length

b = Breadth

a = Area

s = Side

By the formula,

\underline{\boxed{\sf Area \ of \ the \ rectangle=Length \times Breadth}}

Given that,

Length (l) = 3 m

Breadth (b) = 2 m

Substituting their values,

a = 3 × 2

a = 6 m²

Therefore, area of the floor is 6 m².

Length of side of square tiles = 10 cm

By converting,

1 cm = 0.01 m

10 cm = 0.1 m

By the formula,

\underline{\boxed{\sf Area \ of \ a \ square=Side \times Side}}

Given that,

Side (s) = 0.1 m

Substituting their values,

a = 0.1 × 0.1

a = 0.01 m²

According to the question,

Number of tiles required = 6/0.01

= 600

Given that,

Cost of 100 tiles = Rs. 150

Cost of 1 tile = 150/100

= 1.5

Then,

Cost of 600 tiles = 1.5 × 600

= Rs. 900

Therefore, the cost of flooring is Rs. 900.

Given that

side = 3√2 CM

area = √3/4 × side × side

= √3/2 × 3√2 × 3√2

= √3/2 × 18

= 9√3

= 15.6 cm
