h = 3 cm

sides = 7 cm and 9 cm

Area of trapezium =

 \frac{1}{2}  \times sum \: of \: parallel \: side \:  \times h \\  \\  =  \frac{1}{2}  \times (9 + 7) \times 3 \\  \\  =  \frac{1}{2}  \times 16 \times 3 \\  \\  = 8 \times 3 \\  \\  = 24 \:  {cm}^{2}
Hope it helps.

Area of trapezium = 1/2 (a+b) h

{(7 + 9) \times 3 } \div 2 \\ 16 \times 3 \div 2 \\ 48 \div 2 \\ 24

24cm sq
