Given ;

area of base of a solid hemisphere = πr² = 36π cm²

Thus

  • r² = 36
  • r = ± 6 but length is always +ve
  • r = 6cm

Thus volume of a solid hemisphere => 2/3×πr³

  • 2/3 × π × 6 × 6 × 6
  • 2 × 2 × π × 36
  • 4 × 36 × π
  • 144 × π
  • 144 × 22/7
  • ≈ 452.57 cm³
