formula for area of parallelogram is base × height.

base is one of the parallel side of the parallelogram and height is the corresponding altitude.

example:-

find the area of parallelogram whose base is 10cm and corresponding altitude is 6cm.

given base = 10cm and height = 6cm

area of the parallelogram = base × height

= 10 × 6

= 60cm²
