\textbf{Area of parallelogram}

\huge\mathfrak{A{\underline{\underline{\textbf{\red{nswer :}}}}}}

\textbf{base x height}

\textbf{b h}

Derivation

ABCD is a parallelogram

In which all sides are equal means

AB = CD

and

AD = BC

AC is a altitude which divides the parallelogram in two equal triangles.

Means...

Ar. ∆ABC = Ar. ∆ADC

Now..

Draw a perpendicular on line DC of ∆ ADC

So... now

Area of parallelogram = 2 (Area of ∆ ADC)

= 2 × \dfrac{1}{2} DC × AS

= DC × AS sq. units

Here DC = base

and

AS = height of parallelogram.

So, formula of parallelogram is base × height
