a regular hexagon will have 6 equilateral sides

hence area of hexagon

 = 6 \times  \frac{ \sqrt{3} }{4}  {x}^{2}

 =  > 6 \times   \frac{ \sqrt{3} }{4}  {8}^{2}  \\  =  > 96 \sqrt{3}

and the area of rectangle is 12*4=48

total area

 = 96 \sqrt{3}  + 48
