hey user!!
__________

okay so there's a quadrilateral.
we know a quadrilateral has got 4 sides okay which are of unequal lengths and angles.

now one diagonal is drawn. We understand that the diagonal is going to divide it into two triangles and we know we formula for calculating the area of a triangle.

the base for each triangle would be 10cm.

and reading the question we understand that they are going to be the height of the triangles.
i.e the heights are: 3 cm and 5cm.

now let us name this quadrilateral abcd

so area of abcd quadrilateral will be = 1/2 × 3 × 10 + 1/2 × 5× 10
                                                               = 15 + 25
                                                               = 40 cm²

and we found the area to be 40 cm².
