Area of ∆ABP?

Calculation:

Area of Rectangle = 36 cm²

=> Length × Breadth = 36

=> AB × BC = 36 . . . . . (1)

We know that area of a ∆ is given as :

$\boxed{\sf Area \: of \: \Delta = \dfrac{1}{2} \times base \times height}$

From the figure, we can see that base is AB and height is equal and parallel to BC.

$\sf Area \: of \: \Delta = \dfrac{1}{2} \times AB \times BC$

$\sf Area \: of \: \Delta = \dfrac{1}{2} \times 36$

$\sf Area \: of \: \Delta = 18 \: {cm}^{2}$

So, area of ∆ = 18 cm².
