New length = l+7

New breadth = b-5

New area = (l+7)(b-5)

ATQ

area remains unchanged

=>(l+7)(b-5) = 420

=>l.b -5l+7b-35 = 420

=>420 -5l+7b-35 = 420

=> -5l+7b = 35   ............. (ii)

Solve equation (i) and (ii)  

you will get the required length and breadth.
