So first of all, the formula to find the area for every right triangle is:

A= bh/2, This means that the area of the right triangle is equal to the base of the triangle multiplied by the height of the triangle and divided by 2. So in your case, we know that the Hypotenuse (The longest side) is 274, so therefore 254 and 198 should be the legs of the triangle. So because one of the legs are the base and one is the height and is being multiplied together, it really doesn't matter to find out what is the base and height. When we substitude the numbers in, we get, A= (254 x 198) /2. When we solve the right side of the equation, we should get A= 21546. There fore, the area of the right triangle is 21546(Units)squared
