\underline{\underline{\huge{\blue{\tt{\textbf Given :-}}}}}

Area of a rhombus = 96 cm²

Length of one diagonal = 12 cm

\underline{\underline{\huge{\blue{\tt{\textbf find :-}}}}}

length of other diagonals=??

\underline{\underline{\huge{\blue{\tt{\textbf solution :-}}}}}

As we know that area of a rhombus is given by,

  • Area = pq/2

Where,

p and q are diagonals of a rhombus.

Therefore,

let's say, Length of one diagonal

= 12 cm = p

  • area = pq/2
  • 96=12q/2
  • ∴ q = 16 cm

Now,

As the diagonal bisect the rhombus into four right angle triangle.

  • ∴ one side = 16/2 = 8 cm

  • other side = 12/2 = 6 cm

Now by using,

Pythagoras theorem,

Hypotenuse = √6²+8²= 10 cm

  • Hence, length of each side of the given rhombus = 10 cm
