let the diagonals of a rhombus are d1, d2

d1=a+b
d2=?
area of the rhombus = d1d2/2-----(1)

but given area of rhobus = a²- b²

= (a+b)(a-b)----(2)

(1) = (2)

d1d2/2 = (a+b)(a-b)

(a+b) *d2 = (a+b)(a-b)

d2 = (a+b)(a-b)/(a+b)
d2 = a-b
therfore second diagonal = (a-b)

mysticd: (a+b)*d2/2=(a+b(a-b)/2
mysticd: aftter cancellation
mysticd: d2= (a-b)
vidhyavarshan: what is the forumla for the area of rhombus
mysticd: area of rhombus = d1d2/2 = half of product of the diagonals
mysticd: given d1 = a+b, d2 = ? A = (a^2- b^2)/2
mysticd: d1d2/2 =(a^2-b^2)/2
mysticd: (a+b)d2/2 = (a^2-b^2)/2
mysticd: d2= [(a+b)(a-b)*2]/[2*(a+b)]
mysticd: d2=a-b
